Schulenburg
offers to the visitor a variety of both the old and new. Many businesses
in our community have chosen to remain in the historic downtown area along 400
and 500 blocks of North Main St., Lyons Ave. and Upton Ave. Many are
located in old turn of the century buildings.
These merchant's have
updated their areas while retaining many of the original charms of their old
buildings. Available are gift shops, specialty clothing shops, lumber and
hardware stores, appliance stores as well as several banking and saving
facilities. In town can also be found two auto parts stores.
Along Hwy. 90 (Summit St.) between Hwy. 77 and
Upton St. can be found a drug stores, two medical clinics and two savings
associations, several specialty and gift shops,
and two of our larger restaurants.
