Present day Schulenburg has grown only slightly over the years to a town of 2699 residents. It is now primarily a ranching community with a significant number of small and medium size manufacturing businesses. International Muffler Company "IMCO", one of our larger manufacturers fabricates and ships mufflers, both nationally and internationally. BWI, a large nursery and greenhouse supplier has large storage and warehouse facilities in Schulenburg. Jerky Snack Brand, a fast growing, specialty foods processor, has located its operations to both Schulenburg and Weimer. Dairy Farmers of America continues to operate at the sight of the old Carnation Milk Plant that was originally built in 1929. Contach Products (formerly Armco-Pipe) produces culvert pipe. 3-D Belt Co. is a recent addition to our economic base.
